It's happened before. The regeneration of one of the most amazing cars on the planet. Six times, actually. Each introducing an industry-defining element. The intercooler, bi-turbo, VarioCam Plus to name a few. The infusion of new technology is Porsche tradition. And now the 911 Turbo brings you Variable Turbine Geometry. The technology is not new. The ability to harness its power in a gasoline-powered engine is.
Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) adjusts turbine blades continuously. Directing a more accurate and efficient flow of compressed air through the engine. Allowing the 480-hp 911 Turbo to reach a higher torque plateau in a wider rpm range. Go from 0-60 in 3.4 seconds (with the optional Tiptronic S transmission) and reach a top track speed of 193 mph.
And to complement the new-found power, an adjusted all-wheel drive system to electronically control the distribution of torque. More power distributed more evenly than ever before.
